“I generally work from my imagination giving my work a dreamlike quality. I am trying to capture the essence or spirit of the subject matter whether I paint in traditional watercolour or oriental papers and acrylics. My paintings depict either a calm rest point where the viewer can take a break from reality or the power of nature, which I find exciting. I recognise that each individual has their own colour preferences and paint with a rich and varied palette to accommodate that diversity.”
